A +100 points premiere in 2022!

Olympiacos began his Greek League games for the new year on the right foot, besting Ionikos at the SEF 109-65, for the 12th day of the Stoiximan Basket League.

The ‘reds’ were leading 10-0 at 3’, Ionikos replied with an 8-0 streak (10-8), but Bartzokas’ players were immediately awaken from their slump… Dominating rebounding, playing good defense and with excellent ball movement, they got to reply with a 15-0 partial and skyrocketed the difference to +17 (25-8) at 8’. The Olympiacos’ head coach tried many different rotations, however, with zero impact on the ‘reds’ tempo. A three by Larentzakis sent the margin to +25 (47-22 at 17’), however, the difference dropped to 19p. (55-36 at 20’), when the guests found target from the perimeter.

With Moustapha Fall dominating the post and Sloukas executing from the perimeter, our team once again stepped on the gas pedal and increased the distance to 29p. (77-48 at 29’). And they did not stop there… Despite everything have already been decided, they continued with the same intensity into the 4th quarter, sending the margin index climbing to 38p. (94-56 at 37’). Quincy Acy wrote the 100-62 score, following an assist by Thomas Wlakup, while he was also the one to break the 100 point barrier with a three (103-65)! The final 109-65 was written once again by Acy (!) with a dunk and a foul!
