Stormed through Larissa with more than 100 points!

Olympiacos comfortably beat Larissa on the road 101-70, for the 9th day of the Stoiximan Basket League.

The ‘reds’ made a sluggish start in the game, which Larissa took advantage of and led by Green, got to lead 15-10 at 7’. The presence of Giorgos Printezis on the floor though shifted the balance… The veteran forward scored, passed the ball and together with Sasha Vezenkov, they turned the tables running a partial 13-3 (18-23 at 10’).

Olympiacos took the difference up to +9 (21-30 at 12’), the hosts closed in at 3p. (29-32), but Sasha Vezenkov took over once again and sent the difference to +11 for the first time (31-42) at 19’. Combative Larissa replied with a 4-0 and closed in at 7p. (35-42) at the end of the first half.

However, the ‘reds’ turned the game to an one act play in the second half. With superb defense, excellent ball movement and offensive pluralism, they completely controlled the tempo (42-63 at 25’) and closed the 3rd quarter at +24 (53-77).

The outlook remained the same into the fourth quarter. Olympiacos remained focused and with excellent percentages from the perimeter got to maintain a steady distance (the biggest difference been +26, 63-99 at 37’).
