Olympiacos in the semi finals

Olympiacos bested rethymno Cretan Kings on the road 77-73, won the series 2-0 and advanced for the Basket League SKRATS semi-finals.

The team of Giannis Sfairopoulos never faced serious problems in Crete, and won the game and the series with Hakim Warrick being the MVP of the 2nd game.

THE DEFENSE: There were moments when defense was the way it was supposed to be and others when the home team was imposing its game, with the second quarter being the best period for the reds.

THE OFFENSE: The offense worked well once again. The team did not score 100 points, but it was still a good offensive game for many players which allowed the Piraeus team to threaten the opponent’s basket with different players.

THE MVP: Hakim Warrick was the MVP for Thrylos in the second quarter final against Rethymno. The American center dominated both posts, offered substantial solutions (17 points, 6 rebounds) and a great show including two spectacular dunks during the 21:14’’ he was on the floor.

KEEPS, FORGETS: Keeps the 2-0 record and qualifying to the semis, keeps the return of Spanoulis and seems to have totally left behind the problems he’d been facing and also the fact that all players had minutes and the team looks to be heading upwards. Forgets the bad five last minutes of the game when the hosts found the chance to close in.
