First victory for the play-offs

Olympiacos bested Apollon Patron 77-63 and is now leading the first play-offs series 1-0. The next game is scheduled for Friday in Patras.

Our team started out the game well, led the score, but consecutive threes by Vlado Petrovic tied the score 18-18 at the end of the first quarter.

Powell, Law and Antic were the ones to put Olympiacos back on the lead in the second quarter, while half time was 43-39. The European and Greek Champions even got an 11 point advantage in the third quarter, but Apollon closed in at three.

In the last quarter, the ‘reds’ playing excellent defense forced Apollon to score only seven points and thus reached a comfortable 77-63.
