Giorgos Bartzokas and Vangelis Mantzaris explained that the 0-3 record of Siena does not reflect the true image of the Italian team and they are expecting a very tough game.

GIORGOS BARTZOKAS: “The team is not going to Italy complacent due to 0-3 record of the opponent up to now. Of course Siena plays with their backs against the wall having three losses up to now. Our players are aware of what they are about to be facing, they know Siena is a very particular team and they can put coaching problems to their opponents, so I think that my players have no intention of underestimating them. I don’t think playing in Florence changes anything. They are sure to have a hot crowd. It’s going to be a tough game and we have to be ready. Vassilis Spanoulis is better and will be playing. Last season’s experience has showed that injuries are going to be part of the routine. We have to have alternatives ready and we have a very good team preparing our players”.

VANGELIS MANTZARIS: “it’s a very tough road game. Siena is standing against the wall since they haven’t won a game after three days in the competition, so it’s kind of a “do or die” game for them. We need not let ourselves get carried away by that. They are a very dangerous team and they are looking for a fresh start. We have to remain focused for 40 minutes, especially in defense. We need to keep the score at low levels and we need to not allow Hackett get into rhythm. Our goal is to win and we are going to do what we have to do to achieve it”.
