ANNOUNCEMENT

It seems that the new "slap in the face" by the Greek courts has caused a dizzy spell for Panathinaikos BC, since, only a few months ago, were so eager to "celebrate" a temporary court order as a "victory".

In response to various misleading and legally unfounded announcements, we wish to inform of the following:

*With the decision of the Committee on Professional Sports made on 22.07.2015, the permission to transfer the stocks of Panathinaikos BC was revoked, resulting in said stocks remaining an ownership of D. Giannakopoulos. Therefore, D. Giannakopoulos never ceased to be the owner of the Company, and of course, M. Papadopoulos has no right to distribute them.

*With the no. 22/14 decision of the Committee on Sporting Ethos, a "penalty that temporarily restrains D. Giannakopoulos to participate a Sports Club either as an Administrative Board member or as a simple member" was imposed, rather than a ban on his participation to the shared Company capital. Meaning, D. Giannakopoulos was under no obligation to transfer his shares, but he did so in order to avoid any kind of liability deriving for Athletic S.A. (i.e. singing balance sheets, yearly submission of asset properties etc.) as well as disciplinary sanctions that were imposed due to the complaints made by Olympiacos BC.

·Contrary to what happened last season - when D. Giannakopoulos breached on eight consecutive occasions the decisions of the Sports Judge and the Sporting Ethos Committee, according to the new Disciplinary Code, should D. Giannakopoulos enter the court, then Panathinaikos BC shall be penalized with playing one home game without spectators, regardless of bearing true responsibility or not.

We had warned that you should not be hasty. There are laws in Greece and they are implemented and whoever thinks otherwise is mistaken.

P.S.: Since the Sporting Ethos Committee's penalty has expired for months now, we suggest that D. Giannakopoulos is re-instated as the President of Panathinaikos BC, so that he can participate public dialogue from his institutional stand-point and not through his newspaper's front page covers.

P.S.2: Since there is a lot of talk on a supposed 5/5 record, we wonder if last season's 0-5 and the sweep in the finals series is "charged" to the "mirror" owner of Panathinaikos BC. Dimitris, true leaders don't hide when they lose.
