Request to the Hellenic Basketball Federation to award the game

On Thursday, 09.10.2014, the owner of Panathinaikos BC, Mr. D. Giannakopoulos attended the basketball game that took place in OAKA between the teams of Olympiacos and Panathinaikos for the quarter finals of the Greek Cup competition, thus obviously violating the no. 38/30.05.2014 and no. 45/04.07.2014 decisions of the Sporting Judge of HEBA, as well as no. 22/2014 of the E.F.I.P.

All the more, since on September 30, 2014, HEBA had communicated to the Federation in writing, that according to the final decision of the Sporting Judge, no. 38/30.05.2014, the owner of Panathinaikos Mr. D. Giannakopoulos was sanctioned with the penalty of ban from entering any sporting facility for a period of three (3) months, which is transferred to the 2014-15 season and ends on 21.11.2014.

Following the above, due to the repetitive refusal of Mr. D. Giannakopoulos to comply with the decisions of the Sporting Justice authorities and as we had informed the referees and the commissioner of the game at half-time, Olympiacos BC has filed today a request with the Hellenic Basketball Federation, to award the said game in favor of the opposing team, according to the stipulations of article 88 par. 3 of the Federation's Regulations, article 13 par. (i) of the Federations's Charting Map and article 1 par. 3 and 4 of the HEBA Disciplinary Regulations.

Finally, for the same reason, as well as for everything that was recorded on the score sheet and relate to the threatening and name calling of the game referees by Mr. D. Giannakopoulos, Olympiacos BC has today filed formal complaints with the HEBA Sporting Judge and the E.F.I.P.
