ΠThe official presentation of the new OLYMPIACOS BC WORLD MASTERCARD in collaboration with the Piraeus Bank took place at the Peace and Friendship Stadium. From now on, the friends of the Olympiacos basketball team will have their own credit card that will be offering them unique privileges and gifts.
The General Director of Olympiacos BC Mr. Christos Stavropoulos, together with the Commercial Director of the Club Mr. Nikos Lepeniotis, the Communications Director of the Piraeus Group Mr. Yannis Rokkas, the General Director of the Club’s Credit Card’s Dpt. Mr. Vassilis Parlavantzas and Vangelis Mantzaris delivered speeches on the agreement during the event.
Christos Stavropoulos: We are very happy to be in the position to announce our collaboration with Piraeus Bank. We welcome them in the Olympiacos family. It’s a collaboration that will bring many benefits to our fans and I hope we succeed in the goals we have set with this innovative idea.
Nikos Lepeniotis: We are twice as happy because the Piraeus Club finally gets to meet with the Piraeus Bank. The combination is the most appropriate. The fans of the Olympiacos basketball team will have their own credit card. The team fans will be able to come closer to the team through this card, to derive benefits. It will be a unique tool for the fans. They are going to be able to gather points that will be cashed in at our official Store, with tickets, with great discounts and unique experiences that otherwise would be very difficult to obtain. Olympiacos BC Mastercard will be a unique tool and we hope it will become the basic tool for the fans to come closer to our team. The most loyal ones are going to enjoy the greatest rewards.
Yannis Rokkas: It’s a great joy and honor to collaborate with the Champion of Europe. From a network of 1200 stores in Greece, the said product is going to offer a lot of surprises and benefits for its owners. Olympiacos has had great success and I wish they continue offering more joy to the Greek fans.
Vassilis Parlavantzas: I cannot hide my joy for this collaboration. I will be staring kind of backwards, with the rapport we have built with the people on the team and I’m specially talking about Nikos, since he was the one to have negotiated this part. We have built this product with love and care and we hope for the best of the team fans. We are going to move on two poles. With the card, the owner will be able to purchase anything related to Olympiacos, but also live some unique experiences. These experiences cannot be bought; no one can find them on the market. They are written on people’s hearts. It’s not going to be a closed circle; we want to interact with the fans. We are certain for the success, both of the team, as well as of the project we have just announced.

Nikos Lepeniotis: We are going to make a complete presentation of the use of the card together with benefits and gifts. We wish for Olympiacos BC MasterCard to be the basic tool for the Olympiacos fans so as to have more benefits than someone who doesn’t own one. During the first season of the print at home program, the use had been unreal for Greece. We came to a point where the 3 out of 9 or 3 out of 8 tickets sold to be e-tickets. It’s a great success for the first season and we believe that next season more than half of our tickets are going to be sold this way. We wish for this particular credit card to become the sole card used by our fans for that specific program. I believe, without trying to travel into the future, that there is going to be no need for someone to a have a ticket to enter the gym. One of the benefits given to the owners of the Olympiacos BC MasterCard for example is going to be that now no fan has the chance to watch an open team practice, but by accumulating a certain number of points will have this opportunity. One will have the chance to watch an open practice, to travel with the team. No one has the chance to live a few hours together with the players, now they are going to have that chance through accumulating points. Special experiences, just like with the Premiere League, the ACB and the NBA”.
About the agreement with Spanoulis, his recovery and the National team…
Vangelis Mantzaris: We are now very happy that our leader and team captain is going to be with us for the next three years. Just think that we were on vacation and we were calling him at 2 a.m. to ask him what he was about to decide. We are glad he stayed, it’s the best summer move transfer wise. For my recovery, this has been the toughest period of my life, five hard months, I’m now in the final stretch and I hope to help the team. The National Team can aim high, I wish them the best. Unfortunately, I cann’t be of any help, but the team is capable of walking a long way.
