ANNOUNCEMENT

The administration of Olympiacos BC has repeatedly advocated the need of transparency and equal competition terms for professional basketball. And it is only with securing these parameters that the request for healthy foundations in the sport can be administered. We, of course, have no reason to doubt that the Authorities will assist this effort of ours in any way possible.

In this context it is that we have requested from HEBA to present us with the contracts submitted by Panathinaikos BC for the seasons beginning in 2008 and until 2012-13. A Company that boasts in the most gregarious way that their budgets equals or surpasses the one of Olympiacos’, it is only expected to have paid the applicable taxes. During the last five years, Olympiacos BC has paid the Greek State an amount surmounting 25,000,000 euro just to cover for the taxation of players and coaches.

We are only wandering if Panathinaikos has been subjected to equal taxation. The answer to the question, if Panathinaikos BC is elusive in delivering it, is requested by HEBA and the audit made by the authorities.
