ANNOUNCEMENT

Sadness and outrage have been caused by the revelation of the extensive online writings of the new HEBA Sports Judge, Nikitas Velias.

The new Sports Judge, through a series of public posts and comments made under his real name, has consistently targeted the Olympiacos basketball team, its players, and its owners, while at the same time acting as a self-appointed defender of Panathinaikos BC owner, D. Giannakopoulos, against “attacks.” It is also worth noting that most of these controversial posts were made on well-known fan sites (supporting Panathinaikos), where the Judge appears to be a very frequent visitor.
This is the same Sports Judge who, only recently, following a complaint by Olympiacos BC, acquitted D. Giannakopoulos of the charge of defaming the sport, concerning a post he made during the October 12, 2025 game between the two teams.

Olympiacos BC expresses its indignation over the appointment of this particular Sports Judge to HEBA and demands his immediate replacement.
It goes without saying that Olympiacos BC will appeal to the competent authorities to safeguard its legal rights and to seek punishment for scandalous behaviors that bring the Justice system into disrepute.
