Olympiacos celebrated the One Team Games with a powerful moment of inclusiveness during the game against Barcelona

The One Team Games of Olympiacos were concluded in the most beautiful and meaningful way, within the framework of the EuroLeague One Team Week, which this year coincided with the home game against Barcelona.

The inspiration for the moving final result presented by Olympiacos came from the musical piece created by Antoboom, a member of the PLOES team – Society of Psychosocial Studies (EPSYME), and served as the basis for the creation of the inclusive choreography “The Inclusion Dance”, which was presented at halftime on the court of the SEF.

The preparation for this action required work, rehearsals, focus and dedication from all contributors, aiming for a result worthy of the message of inclusion and the response of the fans. In fact, the final rehearsal was attended by the entire Olympiacos team, which, two days before the final performance, took to the SEF court together with all the children.

The protagonists of the action were the members of PLOES (EPSYME), adults with intellectual disabilities, the sixth-grade students of the Piraeus Primary School, the Olympiacos entertainment team, as well as the One Team group, coaches and volunteers, who all worked with heart and soul.

On Thursday, January 29, the meeting was scheduled two hours before tip-off of the game against Barcelona, in order for the necessary preparation of the participants at all levels to take place. The One Team girls got ready at the beauty corner of the Fun Fan Zone with tattoo stickers, while at the same time Antoboom was introduced to the team’s DJ.

Giorgos gave an interview to Nova journalists, while Christos and Diamantis had the honor of handing the ball to the referee of the game, Sreten Radović, amid applause from the entire arena. Sasha Vezenkov, Giannoulis Larentzakis and Willy Hernangómez, the One Team ambassadors from each team, took photos with the entire One Team group in an atmosphere of unity.

At the same time, at the specially designed One Team Corner in the Fun Fan Zone, volunteers and team members informed fans about the action and the philosophy of the One Team program.

All together, along with the entertainment team and the volunteers, they completed their dance mission on the court during the halftime break, sending a strong message of inclusion, cooperation and respect through sport.

At the end of the game, Sasha Vezenkov gave his jersey to little Amelia, who shone with joy upon seeing her idol remember the promise he had made to her two days earlier.
