Sasha the record man and a prophetic date!

The enemy of good is better and the of the MVP is ... Sasha Vezenkov! With his amazing performance against Bayern - he scored 45 points - Olympiacos' forward was the MVP of the 20th round of the Euroleague. 

That was the 13th time he won said honors in the top European competition (the 4th one for the current season) and now aims to win the top of this special category. For now, he ranks 3rd, behind Nado de Colo (16) and Shane Larkin (17). 

However, this is the least important element at this time. The reason is that the 45 points he scored broke a 'haunted' record for the 'red & whites/

Specifically, he became the player with most points scored in the European history of Olympiacos in a single game. Larry Middleton was the previous record holder, with 40 points scored in the game vs KK Zadar (a Korac Cup game) on January 11, 1989 and Sasha got to break the record on January 10, 2025!!!

At the same time, he became the player with the top Index Rating for Olympiacos (52), the 6th best performance in the history of the Euroleague. Tanoka Beard with a 63 PIR, Jaka Lakovic and Dejan Milojevic (both with 55), Marko Popovic with 54 and Shane Larking with 53 make the top five.

His records don't stop here, since the 8 threes he scored against the German team are a personal record!
