McKissic: «Dedicated in memoriam»

The American guard Shaquiell McKissic, said the following after the game against Larissa, for the ‘bwin Monday Night Against Covid-19’ program: “First of all, I would like to talk about the victims of Gate 7. I’m happy to have won in memoriam”.

About the friendly game, he said: “It was good to come back on the floor following our last game, because it helped us clear our head. We played a friendly game that is going to help us prepare for the next Euroleague game”.

When asked to comment on the recent extension of his co-operation with Olympiacos, through the summer of 2023, he pointed out: “To me, here is home. I knew that this was the team I wanted to play for, this is the team I want to be playing for in the future. I’m incredibly happy here, I’m happy with the coach… We will be trying to finish the ten remaining Euroleague games and fight for every chance we have to qualify for the playoffs”.

Asked if his dream is to win the Euroleague, he replied: “This is the only thing I’m thinking about. Each night, before I close my eyes, I’m thinking about how we are going to pull this through. I’m excited I’m going to have the chance to once again play in front of our fans, when they get to return to the gym. Everything we do is for them”.
