Mondays Games against COVID": Olympiacos – Κolossos Rhodes 95-73

In the first game of the “Monday’s Games against COVID-19” program, Olympiacos bested Kolossos Rhodes 95-73.

As expected, the game itself was secondary, however, it’s worth noting that the players under Giorgos Bartzokas finished the game with a 96% in twos (27/28)!!!

The ‘reds’ – that completely controlled the game after 11’ – played without Shaquielle McKissic, Aaron Harrison, Octavius Ellis and Vassilis Charalampopoulos.

The quarters: 24-20, 51-37, 72-56, 95-73.

The Olympiacos BC message, that was accompanied by the warm clapping by everyone present at the gym, was the following: “OLYMPIACOS BC honors and acknowledged all those at the front lines in the fight against the Pandemic, the doctors, nurses, administrative staff and we acknowledge our appreciation with a huge THANK YOU and extended clapping of hands as the smallest of tokens. We expect them here at the gym, as soon as the circumstances allow for it, to honor them in person!”

The ‘reds’ did not stop there though. In partnership with their Great Sponsor, bwin, they made some very significant donations…

The General Director of Olympiacos BC, Nikos Lepeniotis, together with the representative of bwen Greece, Ioannis Kapodistrias, handed a check to the representative of the Doctors of the World Organization aiming to supporting aging and lonely people in different parts of Attica.

The check was received by the President of the Médecins du Monde Greece - Γιατροί του Κόσμου, Ms. Hara Tziouvara. Also, 10,000 masks were offered to the Thriassio Hospital (designated hospital to treat COVID-19) in Elefsina. #TogetherWeFightAgainstCovid #OlympiacosBC #WeAreOlympiacos #TogetherWeFight
