Seeking to transcend

Zalgiris had consistently been among the best eight teams in Europe during the past three years (all the more, in the 2017-18 season they made the Belgrade Final Four), however, to qualify for this season's playoffs they need to transcend.

Τhe brightest star: By far the greatest name on the Zalgiris team is its coach, Sarunas Jasikevicius. As for the roster, its top scorers are Zack LeDay and Lukas Lekavicius.

I know you from some place: Zack LeDay! The American forward/center played for Olympiacos during the previous season. A familiar face as well, due to having played for Panathinaikos, are Lukas Lekavicius and KC Rivers.

Like a tourist: In case you travel to the Lithuanian city to support our team, here are some tips. Kaunas is the second largest city in Lithuania, with a population of about 300,000 people.

Must see: The Church/Monastery of Pažaislis, which is a gem of the Lithuanian Baroque architecture on a European scale, the M.K.Čiurlionis museum and the M.Žilinskas art gallery.

Must do: A stroll in the Old City to admire the Kaunas Castle, the gothic Perkūnas House,the Vytautas the Great and the St. Gertrude churches, the City Hall as well as a number of other monuments.
