Aiming to reach as high as possible…

Crvena Zvezda's original plan was to fight for a spot in the playoffs. However, from the beginning of the season many things happened and the goals were readjusted.

Milan Tomic left the team's bench, the promising signing of Derrick Brown and James Gist have not paid off as expected and Stratos Perperoglou was knocked out from the 7th day on due to a knee injury. All of that had an impact on the Belgrade team that nevertheless, is anything but willing to drop the battle!

Τhe brightest star: In theory and based on titles won -three Euroleague titles (2009, 2011 with Panathinaikos and 2013 with Olympiacos) is Stratos Perperoglou. The signing of James Gist had also been considered as a strong card, however, the American (with whom there have been some internal issues) has not lived up to the expectations of the team's people. As for the pure competitive part, Jorenzo Brown and Billy Baron take the majority of the offensive responsibility.

I know you from someplace: Two former 'reds' are with Crvena Zvezda. The coach, Dragan Sakota, who sat in our team's bench during the 2003-04 season and the international forward, Stratos Perperoglou, who had been a 'red' from 2012 to 2014. James Gist also plays for the Belgrade team, who had been playing for Panathinaikos from December 2012 up to the previous season. There's also another 'green' of Crvena Zvezda's roster. Ognjen Kuzmic (2015-16). Finally, an acquaintance is also Muhammad Faye, from his stints with Panelfsiniakos (2013-14), Rethymnon (2014-15) and Prometheus (2016-18).

Like a tourist: In case you get to travel to Serbian city to support our team, here are some tips. Belgrade is the capital and the largest city of Serbia. It is located at the confluence of the Savo and the Danube river, and has a population of 1.23 million

Must see: The Kalemegdan fortress, the Nikola Tesla museum and the St. Savvas cathedral.

Must do: Walk at the Republic Square, the most central part of the city on Knez Mihailova, the city's market street!

Must eat: White cheeses, cured meats, Sopska Salad, Svinjetina (smoked pork).

Did you know that...

* Sasha Vezenkov and Stratos Perperoglou had been team mates when at Barcelona during the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons.

* Taylor Rochestie played for Crvena Zvezda during the 2017-18 season.

* Derrick Brown and Brandon Paul had been team mates playing for Anadolu Efes in the 2016-17 season.

* Vassilis Spanoulis needs another 15 points to tie the record by Juan Carlos Navarro and 16 to sit in the throne of the top scorer in the history of the Euroleague!
