Olympiacos and Menarini visit the Chatzikyriakeio institution (vid+pics)
Olympiacos BC, represented by Giorgos Printezis, Zach LeDay and Sasha Vezenkov, together with Menarini, visited the Chatzikyriakeio institution and shared gifts, smiles and hugs!
In addition to the gifts, Menarini handed the institution a check of a significant amount.
"It's a big joy that we are at the Chatzikyriakeio institution of Piraeus together with one of our most important associates and sponsors, Menarini", the Director of Marketing and Commercial Development of Olympiacos BC, Nikos Lepeniotis commented and went on to say: "We came here to offer a few moments of joy to the kids that they could share with our athletes and wish them a Merry Christmas and Happy holidays. The work the institution does is very important. Olympiacos is always close to such endeavors, especially in regard to an institution that resides in the heart of Piraeus and we should all try to support. I wish everyone a happy holiday, love and may we all offer what we can, not only during the holiday season, but throughout the year".
The President and CEO of Menarini Hellas, Giorgos Sykianakis, pointed out: "It's touching to be here at the Chatzikyriakeio. I'm especially happy that Menarini Hellas, which I represent, is here in collaboration with Olympiacos offering a few happy moments to the kids. I wish a happy holiday to everyone and I wish to once again thank Olympiacos for being kind enough to come here with famous players to offer joy to the kids".
Giorgos Printezis spoke of the importance of giving not just during the holidays, but rather throughout the year: "It's definitely one of these days when you feel happy with your self, happy in general. What I say every time I'm in a place like this one is that acts like this one should be the norm throughout the year, because these kids are lonely for twelve months a year, not just at Christmas. Congrats to the team for taking up such initiatives and gives us the chance to offer".
Zach LeDay gave gifts and received love and smiles! "It was really nice to come here and give some gifts. It makes us feel more in tune with the spirit of Christmas. I remember how it felt when I was a kid in a similar situation to the one these kids are right now… So, it's good we came here and gave gifts, hugged them and showed them love. I wish a happy holiday to everyone".
Sasha Vezenkov got to talk about the kids' smiles: "It's our great joy to be here at the Chatzikyriakeio to offer smiles and gifts to the kids. We wish them a Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday season. I wish that all the students here are diligent and always smiling".
