Visit to the Pediatric Oncology Unit at Makarios Hospital

Olympiacos BC visited Makarios Hospital in Nicosia on Saturday morning (12/9) to stand alongside the children who are fighting their own battle in the hospital’s Pediatric Oncology Unit.

Our captain, Kostas Papanikolaou, Yan Monteroso and Codi Miller-McIntyre, accompanied by Neofytos Chandriotis’ father, Dimitris, arrived at the hospital in the morning. They spoke with the children, their parents, nurses and medical staff at Makarios Hospital, and handed out gifts they had brought with them from Athens.

The noble cause behind the “Neofytos Chandriotis” tournament is what brings some of Europe’s top teams together every year, and the Olympiacos organization continues to stand by the Chandriotis family and every child who is fighting their own battle.

The European champions’ delegation of players took photos with the young heroes and signed autographs for them and their families, conveying the best wishes of the entire team as they continue their courageous journey.
