Sasha Vezenkov named EuroLeague's best One Team ambassador of the season

Sasha Vezenkov has been named the EuroLeague’s Best One Team Ambassador for the 2025–26 season.

This is the second time in his career that Vezenkov has received the Best One Team Ambassador distinction, following his previous recognition in 2023. Olympiacos’ One Team program was also among the finalists for the award. The ambassador for the season that has just concluded spoke to the Olympiacos website about his recognition.

In addition to his outstanding performances on the court as the EuroLeague MVP, Vezenkov stood out for his consistent and meaningful involvement in Olympiacos’ One Team program throughout the season, despite his particularly demanding competitive schedule.

What stood out, however, was not only his presence, but above all the genuine and meaningful moments he shared with the program’s participants.

Sasha Vezenkov told olympiacosbc.gr: “I’m very happy, not so much because of the award, but because of my participation in One Team for another season. It is an initiative that reminds us of what truly matters in life and brings me closer to the children. Their smiles every time we played together were enough to remind me of all the reasons why I fell in love with basketball. Through Olympiacos’ program, we were also able to learn together about the values of inclusion, participation and, of course, friendship. The highlight was the week of games dedicated to One Team and everything we experienced at the Peace and Friendship Stadium with Amelia. I can say that this year’s experience as an ambassador will remain unforgettable for me.”

One Team is a comprehensive corporate social responsibility program run by EuroLeague Basketball and its clubs, with the aim of promoting social inclusion and addressing inequalities, in line with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 10 for Reducing Inequalities.
