Ndiaye: "I want to thank Olympiacos for giving me the opportunity"

Mbaye Ndiaye arrived Sunday evening (16/08) to Greece to undergo medical tests.

«I'm happy to be here. I want to thank Olympiacos for giving me this opportunity. I'm here to bring energy and help the team in its effort for the back-to-back titles», the Senegalese forward initially said and went on to comment: «It's very important that Olympiacos is the reigning European Champion. As I said before, I'm very happy to be here. Apart from my energy, I believe I can help a lot with defense. I'm very well aware that all the players on the roster are well established».

Asked if he knows about the 'eternal rivals' and the derbies ahead, he replied: «I know of the atmosphere during the derbies with Panathinaikos. I have watched videos. It's crazy. I can't wait to experience it».

The person to make his adjustment easier is none other than Evan Fournier.  «I have talked with him. He's my friend. He has told me a lot. I'm very happy to have him as a team mate. We are very good friends».

Finally, his message to the Olympiacos fans is : «Let's go together to create a crazy atmosphere. I have seen the videos and know that you make our home court tough on any opponent. I want to see you all there to try for the back-to-back titles».
