Green: “Win, win, win…”

Eric Green spoke to olympiacosbc.gr for the new page in his career, he said that he is excited for the big challenge and wants to beat everyone, even at practice.

"I'm excited that I signed for Olympiacos. I really could not think of a better next step for my career. Sure, I always keep NBA in my mind and I want to play there again one day, but now I have  a huge challenge in front of me. I will play for Olympiacos, an incredible team that has achieved everything in Europe. I want to be part of the history of this incredible club".

Before he said "yes" to the Greek champions, Eric Green spoke with Othello Hunter and Malcolm Delaney and asked their opinion about Olympiacos. Othello Hunter and Eric Green where teammates in Siena, while there is a long time friendship between the 24 year old guard and Delaney. "Othello had only the best to tell me about Olympiacos. He told me not to think about it at all. He told me only good things and he explained that he did not want to leave Olympiacos. Delaney on the other hand told me that Olympiacos has one of the best programs in Europe and I will definitely become a better player playing there".

Green then said that "the last few days I'm on youtube and seeing games at our home court. I’ am looking forward to play for these fans. I want to achieve a lot together. And only from these videos, I'm thrilled with the atmosphere". The American guard said to be impatient to play alongside Vassilis Spanoulis. "What is there to say about Spanoulis. He is a legend. I hope that we are going to make a good duo and help the team achieve its goals".

When he was asked about how he would like to present himself on and off the court, Green said:  "I like to live every moment. I want to come to Greece and to know everything about this country. Greece has a long history, so I want to learn a lot”.

As for his presence on the court, Green was clear. "I want to win, win, win. Nothing else. Even at practices, I want to win. I like to score in many ways, and I can score in many ways, but the main thing is that I will do whatever it takes to win with my team and of course try to do what the coach asks from me".

The coach of Olympiacos Giannis Sfairopoulos had already talked with Green on the phone, and the American guard reveals… “we had excellent communication from the beginning. I would say that we found rapport immediately and he told me that he wants me to sign with Olympiacos to continue the success together. He said that I have a lot of things to give to the team to stay on top".
